Hotel Staubbach - Lauterbrunnen

The service was excellent! The managers went above and beyond to provide advice about the best days to visit Jungfraujoch and what hikes to take. We hadn't planned the details of our trip and it was helpful to know where to go (and whether it would be worth our effort, given that we had young children in tow) and when. Also, I think the breakfast was terrific - a real American buffet breakfast that set us off well for hikes in the mountains. Also, I liked that we had a space to check the internet, play chess and basically hang around.

The only thing I wish Hotel Staubbach had was a more charming interior to match the wonderful exterior. If the hotel had an oriental rug and old leather couches, I imagine that it could be a nice gathering place after a long days hike for guests.

Location near to Lauterbrunnen as well as Muerren.

Had an excellent time. Special hotel with good wi-fi, the location was favourable to a common area. The staff was welcoming and exceptional all day long. I had double room with a private bathroom. Location: the venue was next to a beautiful valley, Lauterbrunnen, Schilthorn.

Our room was fall-side, we could see the fall form inside of our room.

Room key was old type,so I had difficalty to open or to lock.

Such wonderful stay, as always. Unique, family-friendly property. Sensational breakfast with breathtaking view and fruits and meats - well worth the money. Amazingly nice accommodating staff, stunning location to the falls. Really close to train station as well as the church.

I liked the warm feel of the place. The view of the mountains and the friendly staff made the stay perfect.

They were so busy I couldn't get the same room for 2 nights in a row, but that was my fault for booking last minute. :)

We were very happy with the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful beyond expectations, the facilities were fine considering that it is a two star hotel and the location - with the view of the staubbach waterfal is beautiul.

Bad bed - old (squeaking sound; uncomfortable) and small.

I loved the breakfast spread, especially the variety of fruits and fresh pastries. The complimentary tea room was a nice touch for afternoon snacks. The room was clean and felt spacious, just like the photos showed!
